Objectives

The primary objective of Building Good Citizens for Texas is:
“To help students know, care about and act upon core ethical values.”
Making this prime objective a habit by instilling the core values consistently, throughout the entire day, will help cement these core values and guide the students’ daily behavior.
Other objectives are to:
- Promote positive character traits in all students
- Model effective decision-making for students
- Promote good citizenship in all activities
- Encourage families, businesses and communities to partner with schools in promoting character education
- Provide statewide consistency in expectations for positive behavior in students
